• The driver of a white bakkie (make and model not provided) was hijacked by bogus policemen, on Wednesday.

Travelling along the R23 (Heidelberg Road), near Dalpark at around midday, the driver noticed a white Volkswagen Polo behind him, flashing its lights.

The victim pulled over, thinking it was the police, and the Polo stopped behind him.

A ‘policeman’ approached the victim and asked for his driver’s licence.

The man was joined by another male, who then pointed a gun at the driver.

He was forced into the back of the bakkie, where his hands were bound and his head was covered.

The hijackers drove off with the victim and took him to a secluded area, where they then put him in the Polo.

He was driven to the Phefeni Railway Station, in Soweto, and let go.

The victim was also robbed of his cellphone.
