• A Leachville family was hijacked in the driveway of their Sudwala Avenue home, on Tuesday.

Three armed men confronted the victim, his wife and daughter shortly after they arrived home at about 8pm.

The victim was assaulted by one of the hijackers and forced to hand over the keys to his silver Ford Ranger.

House robbery:

• Four men robbed a house in Witpoortjie, on Tuesday.

The robbers gained access to the Denne Road property at around 2am and threatened the home’s two occupants with a gun.

The fled with speakers, an amplifier, a laptop and cellphones.

Business robbery:

• A shop situated along Voortrekker Road was robbed by three men, last night (Wednesday).

The robbers entered the shop at about 7pm and held staff at gunpoint.

Cash, cigarettes, a cellphone, wallet and a tablet were stolen.

Common robbery:

• A security guard was robbed by five men in Maryvlei, on Tuesday.

The victim was on duty at busines premises along Ergo Road, when the incident took place at about 3.30am.

He was returning to the guard room after conducting patrols when he was overpowered by the group of men.

They searched him and took his cellphone and hand radio.

The robbers ran off when they saw the victim’s colleague approaching the guard room.


• Station Road.

The home was burgled on Monday.

Stolen: A handbag, wallet, cellphone and a pair of tekkies.

• New Kleinfontein Road, in Leachville.

The break-in took place on Friday.

Stolen: A microwave, clothes and cash.

• Tigerwood Avenue, in Leachville.

The residence was broken into on Tuesday.

Stolen: Two TVs, a tablet and two laptops.

• Abercorn Avenue.

The home was burgled on Monday.

Stolen: Two TVs, a radio and a pair of shoes.

• Hove Road, in Dalpark.

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: Folding tables, a lawm mower, chairs and fishing rods and other fishing equipment.

• Floors Street, in Withok Estates.

The residence was broken into on Friday.

Stolen: Two TVs, jewellery, an amplifier and other household items.

• Prince George Avenue.

The home was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: Cash and a laptop.

• De Villiers Steet, in Brakpan North.

The break-in took place yesterday.

The would-be burglar was caught inside the house and arrested.

Nothing was stolen from the residence.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A Nissan bakkie (model not provided) was stolen from an address along Molecule Road, in Vulcania, on Tuesday.

• A white Toyota Tazz was stolen from [email protected], yesterday.

Theft out of/from a motor vehicle:

• A car parked along Grant Street, in Brakpan North, was broken into on Monday.

The vehicle’s radio was stolen.

• A fuel sender unit was stolen from a vehicle at a workshop along Voortrekker Road.

The theft took place on Tuesday and a suspect was arrested.
