The shop was broken into this morning (Tuesday).

Stolen: Cellphones.

• Power Street (business):

The break-in took place on Friday.

Stolen: Tools and a sound system.

• Kitzinger Avenue.

The burglary occurred on Friday.

Stolen: Tools and bags of cement. A suspect was arrested.

• Hoy Avenue.

The home was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: A gaming console and a tablet.

• De Waal Street, Brakpan North.

The residence was broken into yesterday.

Stolen: A TV, radio, extension cord and other household items.

Theft out of motor vehicle:

• A man was robbed of his cellphone at the Voortrekker Road subway last night.

The driver and passenger were stationary at the traffic lights at 8.20pm when a thief grabbed the phone from the passenger and ran away.

The Herald reported in last week’s edition that the subway is currently a smash-and-grab hotspot.  Another incident was also highlighted in yesterday’s Weekend crime round-up

Brakpan police have advised motorists to remove valuables from the vehicle or ensure items are kept out of sight in the boot or under the seat.
